The Guild Biennial Competition
The Guild organises a Biennial competition for all of its members to take part in. A theme is set by the committee and entries are judged at the AGM and Lace Day during the year.
The theme for the 2013 biennial competition is

There are three prizes to be won
First Prize The Nenia Lovesey Trophy
Second Prize The Ann Aldridge Trophy
Third Prize The Guild of Needle Lace Award
Competition Rules
There will be a minimum of two judges.
The lace must be new to the "Guild of Needle Laces" Competition.
The lace must have been made in the past two years (since the announcement of the theme).
The lace may be washed.
The closing date for the receipt of entries will be strictly adhered to.
All entries must have the membership number of the competitor.
Competition is only open to members and no entry will be accepted with glass, or something along those lines.
All entries must be packaged sufficiently well for its method of transport
Entries should be collected by the owner (or a person nominated by them) at the Lace Day. In the event that the competitor is unable to make these arrangements, the return postage must be included with the entry.
An entry of £3.00 will be charged for each entry. Members are permitted to submit more than one entry.
All entries will be judged at the Lace Day/Annual General Meeting.
The presentation of prizes will be made at the Lace Day/Annual General Meeting
