Aficot

A tool originally devised from  a lobster claw used to lay and burnish threads.

Brass Stiletto

A stiletto can be useful when making holes in fabric.

Wooden Stiletto

A wooden stiletto is useful for manipulating stitches as you work.

Ring stick or Couronne stick

A tool used for making small rings of needle lace as decorations to be applied to your work. These rings are called couronnes. It is a stick with  stepped sized graduations.

Crochet hook

In needle lace, a  fine crochet hook 0.4mm, is useful for drawing threads through the when  laying cordonet.

Lifting stick

A lifting stick is placed between your pillow and the support fabric where you are stitching.

Half Cone Sticks or 'Shoes'

Small, medium and large. Tapered or rounded ends. Please state your preference.

These are used when making stump work flowers. You work your stitches over the half cone and remove the half cone when the stitches are finished. This gives you a raised effect.

Needlelace Pillow box

Shallow box to keep your equipment in with a pillow mounted on the top

When using a needle lace pillow your work needs to be raised slightly to help you work your stitches.

Needlelace Pillow and Cradle

Pillow length 230mm (9 inches). Some needle lacers prefer not to use a captive pillow. The cradle will hold a free pillow while working or for display.
