The Pat Burgess Trophy
The competition, inspired by the late Pat Burgess was intended to inspire beginners to show what they have achieved since they started making needlelace. The competition is an annual event and the award is made at the Annual General Meeting.
To be awarded annually at the Annual General Meeting.
Any Guild member who has only started making needlelace in the last 18 months prior to the date of the competition.
Judging is to be by public ballot of those members attending the Annual General Meeting.
The design can be anything of the lace makers choice.
The size to no larger than 10” x 8”
A statement, of no more than fifty words, to accompany the piece of work explaining why they had chosen the design and their choice of stitches.
There were only these two entries. Michael Dennis won with the Blue Tit and Silvia Lawson was Runner up with 'Inspired by her garden'
There were no entries for 2014.
